This Privacy and Data Protection Policy shall be governed by the laws of England and any dispute arising from this Privacy and Data Protection Policy or your use of the Website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Terms and Conditions
Our General Terms and Conditions (see above) should read in conjunction with these our Privacy, Data Protection and Cookie Policies. These Registration Terms and Conditions apply to our discussion forums and will apply to you if you register with us.
Eligibility
Our online comparisons service is solely for users aged 16 and over. Any use or access by anyone under 16 years of age shall be unauthorised, and in violation of the Terms and Conditions.
Submission of Content
As a user of our comparisons service you may upload your Personal Information to the comparison site if you comply with our Terms and Conditions.

You agree to indemnify us and any related third parties in full from and against all third party claims, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) incurred or suffered by such persons arising out of or related to Your Content and/or any breach by you of any term in the Terms and Conditions.

Our principle means of communication with you will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by email or provide you with information by posting notices on the Website. You consent to electronic communications and acknowledge that all contract, notice and other communication that we provide electronically comply with any requirement that they must be in writing. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Privacy of our user’s personal information is of utmost importance at E-coeus Ltd (“E-coeus Ltd”, “us” or “we”).
We understand the highly confidential nature of the information that you share in the process of using our comparisons software and strive to provide a safe, confidential, and secure system so that you feel comfortable storing your information with us. Our policies are designed to give you the control you need to ensure complete confidentiality.
This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read it carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it.

Information we may collect from you
We generally collect information contained in your comparisons search such as name, address, home phone number, mobile phone number(s), email address(s) and specific information as is necessary to make providing a comparison quote possible to facilitate E-coeus Ltd to be able to readily communicate with you.
We collect and may disclose statistical information gathered as a whole (e.g. total number of comparisons and the origin of the comparison) for internal reporting purposes and to improve the experience we offer to our users and customers. However, we never disclose information that identifies any individual for such purposes. We do not knowingly solicit information from children, and we do not knowingly market our services to children.
If you provide Date of Birth, Gender, Marital Status or Nationality information, this information is gathered for the purposes of providing the comparisons quote and our own diversity monitoring and reporting only and will not be used for any other purposes.
IP addresses and cookies
E-coeus Ltd uses your IP address to help track where you came from and what services you are using, to help us administer our web site and to improve our services.
We and some of our associates and 3rd party organisations that support us to deliver the services you are using, also use “cookies” to track your use of the site, and to ensure that you are a valid user throughout your “session”.
A cookie is a file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. They help us to improve our site and those of our associates and 3rd party organisations that support us to deliver the services you are using and to deliver a better and more personalised service. You may refuse to accept cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of cookies. Uses made of the information
Generally, the information gathered from you is used to assist you in the process of obtaining a comparison search for the product(s) of your choice. As such, it may require us to release your personal information with your consent to a third party organisation should you choose to purchase a product or products from them. Your personal data may also be shared with third parties for the purpose of administering your insurance policy and handling related inquiries.
At no stage with your personal information be shared outside the European Economic Area without your consent.
We may also use, disclose, and communicate your personal information for compliance with any legal obligation to which we may be subject.
E-coeus Ltd uses all reasonable means to ensure that third party sources use your personal information only for the purposes for which it was provided and in adherence to the E-coeus Ltd Privacy Policy. However, E-coeus Ltd is not responsible for any improper use of your personal information that is beyond our reasonable control.
We do not disclose your personal information to anyone except as described above, including, email addresses, mobile phone numbers or information about your visits to the site, etc.
How long do we store your Personal Information?
E-coeus Ltd only store your personal information for a maximum period of 180 days after you provide us with the initial Consent to use and hold your personal information.
If E-coeus Ltd has not refreshed the original consent within the 180 days period then all personal information held about you will be removed form our IT platforms.
E-coeus Ltd reserves the right to continue to communicate with you for the renewal of or to meet the regulatory process requirements that we are bound by as an organisation.
You may choose not to provide us with a Consent to communicate with you. If this is the case and you don’t purchase a products from E-coeus Ltd then we will remove your personal information from our IT platforms within five working days.

Our site may, from time to time, contain links to other sites. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.
Where we store your personal data
Your personal information is stored on secure servers hosted by an approved contractor. The servers reside in The United Kingdom.
How is your personal information secured and protected?
We use commercially reasonable measures necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk.
Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
Access to your Personal Information.
The Data Protection Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act.

We may ask you to describe the information you require, as well as letting us know about any other email addresses you’ve used on our Sites, to enable us to trace your personal information. Depending on the nature of your request, we may also ask you for your full name, your date of birth and your full address and documents to allow us to verify your identity. Requests for copies of your personal information will be dealt with within guidelines set out under the General Data Protection Act.
The “Right of Correction”, the right to have your personal information rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete. Requests for us to correct your personal information will be dealt with within ten working days. Should we believe that your personal information is accurate, we will let you know that that we will not be amending your personal information and why.
Your Right to “Be Forgotten” and to restrict our use of your personal information, under right to “Be Forgotten” E-coeus Ltd will delete or remove all your personal information from our operational and management information systems within 10 working days of receiving your request. Should you wish to exercise this right then E-coeus will remove all your personal information with 10 working days of receiving your request.
